The Four Mile Creek Band plays a variety of acoustic music including traditional bluegrass, contemporary bluegrass sounds and old time country and gospel.
The Four Mile Creek Band began playing in 1984. The band played around the central Iowa area for over a decade performing at bluegrass festivals, town celebrations, and many other events. Four Mile Creek recorded an album in 1987 called “Heartland Harmony”. After taking some time off to focus on work and family, the original five members decided to revive the band in 2009. The band recorded a second CD project in 2012 titled “Thirty Years”. In 2015, each member of the group was individually inducted into the Iowa Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame. Thank you to the many people who have followed our group over the years. Hope to see you at a music event in the near future.
